This new film finds Channing Tatum teaming up with Steven Soderbergh to produce Magic Mike the sequel, which has officially been titled Magic Mile XXL. Those who plan on attending these movie auditions can expect to see Soderbergh once again serving as executive producer as well as the film’s director of photography and editor while Soderbergh’s first assistant director, Gregory Jacobs (Behind the Candelabra), will serve as the primary.
Magic Mike XXL focuses primarily on the original cast – which includes Channing Tatum as Magic Mike, Matt Bomer as Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello as Big Dick Richie, Kevin Nash as Tarzan, Adam Rodriguez as Tito and Alex Pettyfer as Adam (rumored) – who find themselves ready to move on from their past. The guys embark on one last Hurrah before making the inevitable leap into their future. They will be joined by an exciting new cast line-up which will include Elizabeth Banks, Amber Heard, Donald Glover, Andie MacDowell, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Michael Strahan.
“Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, ‘Magic Mike XXL’ finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.”
The film is currently in production and is there are open casting calls being held extras to be a part of this film.
