This is the casting call for the final episodes of the TV series ‘Mercy Street’. The casting call is for extras who will be contacted over the weekend if the casting directors think that they are fit for specific roles. The filming will take place on Wednesday, 8^th June.

About the Show

Mercy Street is a TV series inspired by true events and people. The executive producer is Ridley Scott, along with David W. Zucker, David Zabel and Lisa Q. Wolfinger. The story revolves around the Civil War era and goes beyond the front lines of the war zone and into the premises of Mansion House Hospital, which is located in Alexandria, Virginia.

The series is set in 1862, and depicts the lives of Mary Phinney and Emma Green, who are two volunteer nurses on the different side of the war. Mary is an abolitionist from New England, and Emma is a Confederate belle. The series is about drama and humor that took place in the everyday life during the Civil War.

Casting Call for Mercy Street

The casting director of the series is looking for some fresh faces for black females and males of different ages, but they should be older than 9 years. Specifications

Female in Black: The female should have white skin color. You should have natural hair color and the dress size should be 4. The body specifications should be close to these: 18-30. 34 – 27″ waist. Must be available for shooting on June 8^th, Wednesday. The shooting will take place in Richmond.
Amputee: An amputee is also required for various scenes in the TV series. The applicant can either be a white male or female, and must have left leg amputated, below the knee.
Musicians: For the role of musicians, black males are required. They should be 18 years old or older. They should know how to play a violin or a cello. Must be available for shooting on June 8^th, Wednesday. The shooting will take place in Richmond.

The union rate is $126.28/8 and the non-union rate is $64/8.

Important Notes: Please keep in mind that Petersburg and Richmond are in Virginia. We have been receiving applications from people living in Georgia, which is very far away from Richmond. It is advised that before applying for this casting call, the applicants should measure the distance to Richmond from their current location. This casting call is best for actors residing in Richmond and close surrounding areas.
