Will Ferell and Steve Carrell have both been confirmed for the on set adventures in Anchorman 2. Unlike what we’ve come to expect from sequels where characters have evolved from the previous movie, Carell doesn’t want Brick to be any different when the legend continues next year. He’s actually hoping for the opposite. Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd will also join Steve Carrell in the highly anticipated sequel. The movie will be directed by Adam McKay and distributed by Studio Paramount Pictures, which now controls the rights to the franchise. The highly anticipated comedy sequel,is set for a late August 2013, and the are movie auditions set up for extras to play in the movie. They are looking for talent with the 80s look.
Anchorman 2 is set right when all the news started changing with the 24-hours news cycle in ’78 or ’79. All of a sudden, local news stations diversified and had Latino anchors and African-American anchors, and any time you’re talking about diversity and the Action News team, that’s always fun to deal with. There will be plenty of potential where the news team scrambles to find stories to fill time, and how there’s no way Ron can be the center of attention when there are so many news anchors throughout the day.
The casting directors are now looking for talent to play as extras in the movie. They are looking for males and females over the age of 21 with preferably the 80s look.
