Disney Channel is setting auditions for both starring and co-starring roles in the comedy series Buddyslam. The multi camera series requires 2 boys, 12 year old, with adult counterparts. Shooting begins in July at Hollywood Center Studios in L.A. In order to be considered talent must have legal eligibility to work in L.A. and in television productions.
About the Pilot
The series revolves around Harry Brewster, a kid with anger issues. Harry is a good kid and to control his temper, he works on his favorite pastime with his friend Troy, Wrestling. The two boys accidentally drink the beverage given by their anger management counselor George, which turns them into 6 feet tall grownups; they then take his place in Slamarama, a major wrestling event, marking the beginning of their new world of adventure and danger.
Buddyslam is created by Ron Rappaport, the co executive producer of the Disney series Lab Rats; for this series he will work as the writer and executive producer, with Greg Schaffer as the producer. Laugh Productions is producing the series, and has been behind other hit shows on Disney Channel like Girl Meets World, Live and Maddie, Good Luck Charlie, Wizards of Waverly Place, The Suite Life on Deck, Jonas, and Hannah Montana.
