Core Extras Casting Call for HBO Series Vice Principals
HBO has sealed a deal with Eastbound & Down creators, Danny McBride and Jody Hill, for a new comedy series, Vice Principals.
The new comedy series will star Eastbound & Down creator Danny McBride and Justified alum Walton Goggin. Goggin who has also appeared in the feature film G.I. Joe: Retaliation which starred Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and in Sons of Anarchy.
Vice Principals centers around a group of Vice Principals who have been given the power to call the shots in their high school. McBride will star as Neal Gamby a very frustrated vice principal in charge of the high school’s discipline. Goggin will star as Lee Russell a very seedy and conniving politician who enters into an unholy pact alliance with Gamby.
Joining Danny McBride and Walton Goggin is Empire Boardwalk alum Shea Whigham and Cougar Town’s Busy Philipps. Whigham will play the role of new husband to Gamby’s ex-wife. Philipps will play the role of Gamby’s ex-wife and frequent target of Gamby’s delusional rage and hostility.
The Extras casting team working on Vice Principals has released a casting call seeking Core Extras to work on the show. A Core Extra or Background Actor works for the duration of filming. The casting team needs extras to fill the roles of High school staff which includes teachers, cafeteria workers, custodians, and office personnel.

VICE PRINCIPALS -Seeking a core group of Adults to work as High School Staff (Teachers, Office Workers, Custodians, Cafeteria Staff). Should have open availability from May thru September -as they may be needed several days a week for filming. Prefer those from or near the Charleston area. Acting experience is a plus (yes, I am crossing my fingers someone gets upgraded along the way). Looking for a few of these folks to have great character faces. This group will be photo selected by Production/Director. If you have yet to submit and are interested in being considered, please send your submission ASAP.
