Heartthrob actor Ryan Gosling is making his directorial debut in the new movie How to Catch a Monster. We know he knows how to act well all while charming the ladies but can he direct? Gosling has also written the script for How to Catch a Monster, which apparently blends fantasy, noir and suspense but is set in the present day. The announcement was made that the film will star Christina Hendricks (“Mad Men”) in the lead role. The full cast has yet not been decided and the directors are now looking for lead roles, supporting roles and extras. This is your opportunity to be a lead role in what is sure to be a hit movie especially with Gosling in the director chair.
How to Catch a Monster will blend in elements of fantasy noir, and suspense into a modern day fairytale. Set against the surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city, Billy, a single mother of two, is swept into a strange place and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town. Both Billy and Bones must dive deep into the mystery in order to save their families. . How to Catch a Monster is scheduled to begin filing in the spring and the casting directors are now taking applicaion for numerous roles in the movie.

Although I am very much into music, I have always loved to act and would consider it a major part of my career and life plan, and I am very good at it too, but unfortunately do not have as much experience performing as I would like to in that department. In a way, I think that makes my performances more raw, and in certain roles that can be a very good thing. I can bring an animal real-ness and emotional honesty that must be shown through someone who desperately wants something they know they have to work extremely hard to even get close to, and I desperately want this. My name is Jake McClain, I am 20 years old and recently after surviving cancer I have relocated from St. Augustine, Florida to Santa Monica, California to pursue a career in acting. I have only been here in California for a month and I do not yet have an agent or a manager, but I am very ambitious, diligent and willing to do anything for the integrity of a film. I get very involved with characters and I want to be a part of something that moves people. My mom has breast cancer and my dad is in a mental hospital and so I am basically broke right now but I am working on saving money to take acting classes and make myself the best actor that I can be. I have been writing for a long time and when I was diagnosed with cancer last year my love of film really emerged and I realized that no one lives long enough to not do what they love.
