The casting team from SoFresh Media Group and Picnic Basket Productions is currently looking for different roles for their upcoming show intended to promote tolerance and cooperation in our societies.

Synopsis

Scared Black is a unique type of theatrical project that is written by K. Oliver Honore. The writer will be directing the play throughout the season. It is free of charge because it is meant to educate people. It revolves around the story of a young man who is a well-educated and well-mannered.

The play will explore how a successful Black American faces racism in his life.  The play was written to educate and touch on some of the ongoing problems in modern day society.  It includes some real life experiences as well.

The lead role will be played by a strong African American man who uses his education and debating ability to fight back against discriminators.  He will handle racism and prejudice in the best possible way. The play will try to convey what a racism-free America might eventually look like. The dialogue is very heavy and realistic, depicting how different races can cooperative in corporate and social environments.

Currently, the casting crew requires 25 roles including 14 African-Americans and 11 Caucasians. It is an unpaid job and the location of theatre is Atlanta, Georgia.
