The NBC series “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” is now casting for particular roles for its 14th season. The show introduces the Special Victims Unit, which is the elite quad of New York City Police Department. They investigate sexually related crimes within the city boundaries. Creator Dick Wolf is known for his Law & Order show from the 90’s, and Special Victim Unit has been the longest running Television spin off ever. The stars of the show are currently Mariska Hargitay, Christopher Meloni, and Richard Belzer. Mariska is known for her work on the film “Lake Placid”, while Meloni is well known for his True Blood character, along with his work on the 2013 un-released film “Man of Steel”. We cannot forget Law & Order’s and reality TV star ICE-T on the show as well. His work in the music industry and film industry has landed him great jobs as an entertainer.
The show evolves as detectives try to balance a life of investigating and prosecuting sexually oriented criminals and crimes, while trying to live their lives. The effects of their job controls the outcomes of their days as regular people as well. The 60 minute television series has grasped the minds and hearts of audiences who tune into NBC every Wednesday at 10pm.
With that said casting directors are looking to fill 6 more roles for an ongoing series and filming next month. They are looking for Spanish speaking or bilingual actors in general, as well as extras. Actors who have something different about them. Experienced talent will be called in to auditions first. Hello my name is Sergio Carranza, I am Mexican-American currently living in NYC. I am a son of two illegal immigrant parents. I was born in this country but had to go to Mexico when I was 5 years old and came back when I was 10 so I’m very fluent in both languages which are Spanish & English. However thats not the only reason I mention it, the main reason is that when I came to this country I realized how inferior illegal immigrants are treated in this country. My mother who used to go to the labor exchange by Brooklyn used to tell me stories on how sometimes women would get raped by the people that hired them because of their legal status they were seen as sex objects. These immigrants wouldn’t tell the police because they were scared that all their sacrifice of crossing the border would go to waste by getting deported back to their country. A lot of people see immigrants as dishwashers, delivery guy, construction workers etc. Which angers me because we are also human beings capable of being much more than that, ever since I always wanted to be in acting, to have a stronger voice in what I think. I hope that I can get an opportunity to demonstrate what I always wanted to. I look forward to hearing back.

Having told you this, I think that there might be a reason for choosing a person with a disability to work with these people that have to deal with some of the most serious crimes in the Law Enforcement Field.

I went to Los Angeles for IMTA in 2007 and all the call backs I had got wanted me to move right then and start commercials but my mom would not take me out of school since I was 12. I respect the acting and the truthful manner in which SVU addresses difficult topics, and I believe I could be a good dramatic actress for it. Though I’ve never had to experience the terror that many of these characters do, I played the role of a girl who was raped, and I conducted the research to help me properly play the role honestly.
