TNT ordered eight episodes of their new reality competition series The Hero. The Hero will put 10 ordinary people together in a house to complete missions that will “test their brains, their brawn and even their morality. And Dwayne The Rock Johnson will be there to serve as the contestants’ motivator. The show, from Ben Silverman’s Electus and 5×5 Media is a new reality competition series that sets out to find the next great hero. The reality competition show will incorporate social media into every aspect of the show, from pre-production and casting to on-location shooting and live broadcasts. Through the show’s interactive digital platform, viewers will be able to vote each week. TNT is now taking contestant applications for The Hero and this is your chance to audition. Do not miss out on your opportunity to show off your mental and physical toughness apply now.
According to TNT, The Hero will bring 10 ordinary people together in a house and then assign them various missions that will test their brains, their brawn and even their morality. The show will challenge the competitors to prove they’ve got what it takes to be heroes, pushing them to the limits to see what they are willing (and able) to overcome, undergo or sacrifice for the sake of their fellow contestants. Johnson will serve as mentor and motivator. In the end, one player will be declared a true hero.

He drinks heavily everyday because of being raised in an alcoholic family , never receiving any love from his mother or father and living everyday with his memories keeping him from being the true Hero I know he can be. I am 23 almost 24 years old. I am always told that because of my size that I could never be capable of doing anything physical. I am retired from the Army after 21 years of service, I was an Infantryman or still am, that served in all parts of the world from Haiti to Iraq. I am a father of two wonderful children, my son is in the Air Force and my daughter is in the Army. I do miss the camaraderie and being part of a team. I now work for The Department of Criminal Justice in Texas as a Correctional Officer, which also takes team work, staying in shape and doing what is right at all times. I just finished watching your show The Hero with my wife and children. She is the most amazing woman I have ever met in my entire life. I served in the US Navy for 12 years and travelled all over and there isn’t another woman like her. When we first met she was working 3 full time jobs to take care of her 3 children plus her parents who are disabled. Also she takes care of stray animals, nurses them back to health then find them new homes because she loves animals that much. She has been doing all this for the past 14 years. I fell in love with her oversized heart. I want her to be on your show The Hero so she can see what I see everyday I see her. She’s my own personal hero. Her name is Danielle Alfaro. My entire life I have always felt like I had something to prove. The reason why is that I am only 5 ft tall and I have a very strong-willed personality. I am more than okay with being short because it is a part of who I am. I haven’t grown an inch since I was 15 and that was 5 years ago! Anyways, I want to be able to show everyone that strength can come in all shapes and sizes! Also I want to be taken seriously this time because yes money would be amazing but it’s not all about that for me. My name is Erik and I have lived for this type of action all my life. From the time I was small I was always the one that did what no one else could. I trained my life around rescue and the military. Unfourtunatly due to an injury I was denied for the service but didn’t spot me from doing incredible this. Incredible to my standards like out dog the blue riding a small motorcycle from east coast to west coast , sell the bike , jump on a 30 foot sail boat and sail around the world. I have not come across many challenges that I have not concorded. Now I’m 40 with a wife, 3 kids, 4 cats,and a dog. Still in pretty good shape and ready to feed that adventure / do good appetite. My dream was to have stability in my life. Seeking the USA at 15 years old and trusting that one day I will find happiness and comfort in the arms of an American man that loves me. Abuse was not in the picture and never is for a 15 year old. I endured years of struggles and abuse from men verbally and somewhat physically abused me. I lived a life of strength and will. I managed to rise above and I do not know how but I did. My 2 boys are the best evidence of my determinations. I want to be able to help those young girls whose only influence have only been verbally abuse then. Draining them from eventually accepting that verbal and physical abuse from their husbands or loved ones and thinking they were wrong and they have done something wrong and somehow they deserve it. I have had those relationships that in spite of my success in business, I have permitted others to steal my happiness with their criticism. I want to show these men and women instead of allowing these people to continue and occupy space in their lives, that it is never too late to overcome these ingrained negative comments and still succeed at finding a secure happy place. I have learned that often times that I have been at my lowest it had motivated me to make extreme changes and to turn negative into positive. I want to make my boys proud of me despite of all the abuse and cheating they witnessed me experience. I want to show these people that treated me like I was not worth a dime in their lives and abused my love and devotion that I am an above average woman and my self worth and ambition to better my world is beyond what they can comprehend.
My last relationship ended recently. Was called fat at 113 lbs. not good enough, unlovable, while the guy is all alone cheating on me and traveling with another woman. I paid hefty amounts for counseling if selected I will use the winning money to open a center for counseling women and men in my situation. Sometimes you have to jump a cliff to know how to land. I am jumping a cliff now and I know I can do it.

Hi, my name is Mohamad Harake, I was born in Beirut lebanon in 1984, and we moved America in 1993 and have been American ever since, I went to school graduated From the famous Fordson High School and life was not so easy for me I was extremely obese, I was not a very happy person, after graduating High School I managed to finish a 2 semesters of of college, then it happened!!!! I was offered a job in Freetown Sierra Leone, West Africa, working with a friend of the family in Rough Diamonds purchasing from the mines and from an office and at night I managed Casino Leone which was also owned by the same company I stayed there almost 5 years, before returning back home for good , But I was still unhappy I weighed 360 POUNDS and felt so uncomfortable with my life that I decided to have surgery to make my stomach smaller, and within 1 year of extreme work outs and watching The ROCK ,perform in his movies I lost 170 POUNDS !!Yessss 170 POUNDS, You are my hero Mr johnson !!! then 2 years a go I heard that my step brother was getting married in lebanon so i decided to go meet him for the first time in my adult life, and then it happened again, I met the love of my life and shortly afterward we got married , it took me almost 2 years to bring her to America but with hard work and devotion we where successful , I went down to lebanon 4 month ago and threw a wedding party for us and moved her here to michigan were we have been living happy and now my wife is studying for a exams to be a pharmacist here in Michigan, From my life experience I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A HERO, But let me tell you Mr Johnson you truly were my motivation for becoming a healthier person and my life is better from you thank you and I hope I get to meet you one day in person to thank you. I am about to begin my 31st year in public education, am a single mother of a fantastic college freshman field hockey goalie, am engaged to a wonderful man, and am a group fitness instructor. I’ve taught cardio-kickboxing, cardio-fit, boot camp, and kick and tone. I am also a Level 1 Licensed Zumba Instructor, and have recently become a certified Dance It Out Instructor for Billy Blanks and Sharon Catherine Blanks. I never give up, and I always perform to the fullest. When I lost my dad at the age of 14 I never had that father figure in my life to push me, and I want… no I need a chance to show myself that I could do this, and make my father proud of me.
I wanna be on The Hero so bad cause like the rock has mentioned about finding your mana I wanna find my warrior mana, I’m someone who has never took risks I’ve just always let opportunities pass me by but no more, one month ago I lost one of my best friends that I just graduated with he was only 19 & he always told me how great of an athlete I could be or how I need to take risks so now I’m doing that & if I was to go on the hero everything I would do would be in honor of him & no matter how much money I win if I do I have vowed to give it back to his family.
As a former Soldier I know the price of being a hero. I lied to get into the Army and to get a top secret clearance. The Army taught me the value of being a person you would admire and I didn’t admire who I had become. I turned myself in so that I could regain my honor and integrity. The got kicked out but learned a valuable lesson in the proccess. It takes sacrifice to be heroic. Honor is earned every moment of every day. You can’t expect life to be easy or fair, but you can expect yourself to live up to the standards you create. I am currently going to school while taking care of my girlfriend. She is disabled and has diabetes. I also found out she is pregnant (YAY!). It’s not an easy life, but I love her and would do anything to show her. If I had the opportunity to prove how much she means to me, the world would know a new hero, and she would too.

After several drafts, and debating whether or not this was for me, I’ve decided to go for it and post my name for consideration. Although I’m a hero to my four boys Ages 7, 7, 14, & 15) already, this opportunity would significantly help my wife & I financially with overdue bills. A car flipped in front of me on its side at 3am one saturday morning. Two people were inside. I jumped on top of the passenger door (the car was on its side driver door underneath) looked in and saw the driver unconcious and the passenger was awake but obviously had been drinking earlier he was half panicked half in shock crying for me to pull him out.A fire was starting near the engine bot had seatbelts on and from my position i could not pull them through the window had to act fast. Jumped down started rocking the car back and forth until enough momentum to roll back on all fours, without hesitation i crawled inside unbuckled the passenger he kept cryin” please save my friend “as i rushed him across the street i ran back jumped in rushing to find the seatbelt button half panicked by now myself but i managed to stay focused found it grabbed the kid (looked to be about 18-19 ) and carried him to where his friend was lying on the ground about 30 feet away. This boy was not concious the whole time but his grip to me was so tight ill never forget it. By the way i had dialed 911 before i even got out of my carbut they seemed to want to ask me the stupidest questions so i had to give the address and hang up. By the time any emergency responders arrived the car was in complete flames. I never heard a thing about it again. Never even knew there names.
To who it may concern I’m 28 years of age I’m also a veteran when I got home there wasn’t really anything to come home to. the reason why I’d like to apply is that I would like to donate the money to the wounded worriers program. I was a infantryman in the active dutie army and Iv seen the things we don’t hear about in social media and I would love to be able to bring some closure to their lives as well as provide a better life for my wife and three year old son
I just want to see what heroes are made out of. I will be the first to admit that I was usually the last one to be selected on the playground but that was then and this is now, 46 years later. Mind, body, spirit with the can-do attitude, I just have to at the very least, attempt to see what it takes to become a hero. I’m a heavy equipment operator For nine years now and have been doing it since I was 19 years old. I Train about 5 to 6 times a week so I’m pretty good shape. I’m always up for a challenge and I don’t like to lose. From what I saw in the preview this show is right up my alley from the crazy Extreme things I saw The contestants doing and I would love to b part of it . My name is Mark Pollak, I’m a Corrections Officer IV with The State of Texas with nearly 5years of experience and Service. The reason I want to be a “HERO” on this show is because everyday that I go to work inside the Prison unit guarding Inmates, just stepping inside the Prison gates to go to work takes Heart, Guts, plus you have to be a little Scared and little Afraid to work there, because you never know if you are gonna leave in either a wheelchair or an Ambulance. For me to be a little scared and a little afraid is what makes me BOLD, STRONG and TOUGH on the outside. A “HERO” to me are the people of the U.S. MILITARY, Police, and PRISON that wake up each day put on a Uniform with the American Flag and Serve their Country, Protect and Keep the Streets clean and Safe from Criminals, and Serve the Country to Protect The Cities from the Inmates that are Dangerous. Everytime I walk through the gates at my unit I always want to walk out the same way that I walked in, In One Piece. I’m a 30 year old Married Man from Silsbee, Tx.. I am Athletic, with a big Heart and Love to Mentor People, and I’m very Competitive.
I spent over 15 years doing Airborne Reconnaissance as a Combat Crewmember for the USAF, flew 21 Combat Missions in Operation Desert Storm, and worked for the National Security Agency. I’ve faced some of the most physically and intellectually challenging work the U.S. Government has produced… also some of the most morally objectionable, which is why I eventually left. I’m now 51 years old and permanently disabled, but can still hold my own, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally. Perhaps you should consider someone like me to help test these ‘heros’. Just a thought.
I am an International flight Attendant, based in Miami, FL. I am a father of a beautifual daughter not to mention my wife.. we do not have much but have everything…my wife lost her job 3 years ago and 1 year ago she got cancer but we are stronger than ever. She does not know I am trying to audition to be on the your show, it is a surprise for her, my daughter and specially for me if I get the opportunity to become their hero and to be a mentor to other people as well, my daughter’s birthday is the 26 of the current and my wife in 2 months…It will be a great surprise….I ran the Chicago Marathon @ 4 years ago, a tough mudder in Vermont and titans race in Puerto Rico, I am ready for this challenge, I was born to be challenge…the question is Are you ready for me???? I’ll be waitinng for your reply….

I was a tomboy all my life. I played all kinds of sports. I got into a bad marriage and my life went downhill. I became an alcoholic and im now sober. I would like to prove to my kids that i am the mother that they once new. I have a great fear of heights and drowning.
I would like the chance to show my family and children that i am not that person i was when drinking, that i am a new and better person. I just want them to know that i am the hero that they new years ago and that i am back to stay.
